The Howling IV

Stella had to react quickly as her eyes searched for Fico. He had got off of his bird and stood behind Auron, he clenched his axe in his hands. He wasn’t prepared to fight him, just stall him until Stella had enough time to gather herself and reach town. He felt once inside the town wall Auron couldn’t reach her and she would be safe. Auron walked towards her on all fours as she sat too horrified to move. Auron curled his lips back and showed off his teeth. Stella’s eyes drifted towards Fico as he slowly crept up behind him. He didn’t know what it was he was going to do, and he knew he was risking his life even attempting it. Before he knew it he provoked Auron and he turned his head to face him. Fico motioned for Stella to run but she seemed too petrified to try. Auron stood up as he stared at Fico, his anger boiling over inside of him. He wanted to finish the Warrior once and for all so that he didn’t pester him anymore. His claws lunged out at Fico who countered with his axe. “Stella move!” he yelled as he struggled to keep the beast off of him, he wasn’t in any shape after the last encounter with Auron to encounter him again. “Fico stop!” She yelled as she stood on her feet. She unsheathed her sword and glared at the red fur on Aurons body, her face twisted with disgust. “It is me he wants.” She said as she readied her shield before she provoked him. “I want power.” Auron said with a snarl as his claws knocked Fico’s axe to the ground rendering him defenseless. “Power?” she looked at him and asked. “Leadership brings power. Hand me your shell.” He said as he looked at Fico, he motioned towards him and Stella got the idea. He threatened Fico’s life if she didn’t go with his idea. She couldn’t let her shell be lead by someone in Auron’s frame of mind, it was too dangerous. “What made you like this?” Stella asked and Auron looked at the full moon. His body shook as he basked in the moonlight. “A poison.” He replied as he turned his body towards her. He began to take steps toward her and with each step she cowered a little inside. “I’m sorry.” Kairos said to Bio again as they ran through Jugner Forest. “Shut up already.” Bio said patiently, if he apologized again he was going to rip his jaw out. “I just want to make sure Stella is safe.” Bio said as his feet kept pace with Kairos’s chocobo. The moonlight hit his back and he took a moment to bathe in it. His fur shining with glimmer as Kairos looked on quietly. “So I take it you’re a good werewolf.” He finally said as Bio began to take off again. He slapped his chocobo to keep up. Bio ran on all four legs to pass as a Notorious Monster wolf if he was ever spotted by another person and he would just snarl at them and run their way and hope they took off and didn’t try to kill them. He laughed at the idea that Kairos had. He wanted him to scare his friend into thinking he was aggro’d by an unbeatable monster and watch him cower for his life as Bio played with him. If Stella’s life wasn’t in jeopardy then the humorous side of Bio would have agreed to go along with it. He saw the exit and smelled Auron’s scent and he picked up his speed.

“You can’t have my shell.” Stella said with tears rolling down her eyes. She had a mouthful of dirt as Auron sent her crashing to the ground when she objected to naming him leader. She whimpered because Fico lay next to her defeated. Auron’s anger struck ablaze and he assaulted him because Fico interfered. All it took was a couple of swipes before he brought the Warrior down and Fico didn’t put up much of a fight. Blood marks where left on Stella’s face where Auron swiped her. “I don’t want to kill you.” She recalled him saying before he struck her. She had a mixture of blood on her, some of it hers and some of it belonged to Fico. “Please, let’s do this the easy way.” Auron glanced at her and said as she clutched her sword in her hand. She shook her head again and he lunged on top of her, she threw her diamond shield up and he almost made it cave in. He reached his mouth out for her neck and she squirmed out of the way. “Grr.” He said as his claws ripped into her skin causing her to cry out in pain. His ears perked up and his body went berserk again. He drove his claws through her neck leaving a wound the size of an apple through her neck. He waited for her to bleed to death. He didn’t want it to get this far but he felt as though he had no choice at the moment. He looked down into her Mithran eyes and turned and ran away. “Shit.” Kairos said as they approached the figures on the ground. “Too late.” Bio said angrily. “Go in town and get someone out here to raise these two.” Bio ordered at the shooken Kairos. He was a wreck looking at Auron’s destruction. “You got less than an hour. Move it.” Bio said as Kairos stepped through the gates and entered Upper Jeuno. Bio led his grip of Stella go and her body fell to the ground again. He moved over to Fico and looked at him. He decided it was time to go after this rogue wolf before he tried to run Mythic. Bio had to hold a team meeting, but he couldn’t in this form. With the moon shining brightly he wouldn’t be able to be a Taru again. He was stuck, inform the shell or run after Auron….
