The Howling II

Bio sped up his feet as fast as he could, running making sure he didn’t trip. He could hear Auron breathing behind him, he could feel his presence. He looked ahead of him, and Fico and Kairos was out of sight, nowhere to be found. Still he had to run, if he stayed he would sure make a nice dinner for someone. He felt a claw dig into his legs, he stumbled. “Just like a horror movie.” He said to himself as his laid on the ground. Auron stalked overtop of him, sniffed him. “Look…” Bio said as he looked Auron in his yellowish green eyes. “I’m…” he began before Aur snarled, saliva running off of his lips. Bio thought of a way to stall him, he sure didn’t want to die. “What happened to you?” he asked trembling from his spot on the ground. Auron cocked his head to the side, listening for something in the distance. He paid no mind to Bio, he used his senses to pick up a new scent. He then turned his head back to Bio, the innocent Taru looking mighty delicious on the ground. “Stay out of my way.” He growled at Bio, almost as if giving him a warning. With that, Auron took off in another direction. Bio got up and dusted himself off, sweat poured down his face even on the chilliest of nights, his fear made him sweat as if he was in the desert. His heart stopped and went so many times he thought he’d died and went to Taru Heaven, the place he always dreamed it would be, cluttered with half naked Mithras. He shook his head from his dream, his ears twitched, and he heard a noise. It sounded like something crashing, shattering in the quiet night air. He looked around him puzzled, he saw no one anywhere in sight. This freaked him out because he knows what he heard, but he couldn’t explain it because there was nothing to see. His stomach wailed a hungry growl, he didn’t understand it, he couldn’t be hungry, and it wasn’t possible. Kairos ran through the Canyon. He and Fico had parted ways near the zone, hoping that Auron would still be sleep and they could be way ahead of him where he arises from his slumber. Technically Aur wasn’t a monster, so they don’t know if the enmity rule is in effect for him, but seeing as how Bio slept him, all the anger would shift onto Bio. At least that’s what the hoped, sad for Bio, good for them. But his feet were steadily growing tired, he needed to rest his legs, he couldn’t help it. If Auron was on the hunt for him tonight, then surely he would catch him. With that, he stopped, he was at the Crag of Mea, he knows that he’s somewhat safe, because people come through here a lot, and at least he wasn’t by himself. He hugged up against the wall of the Telepoint. His body landed and crashed against the crates. Pain shot throughout his entire body as Aur stood atop of him. Fico looked with pain at the monster that Aur had become. He didn’t know how he found him, but all Fico remember is running, then he became airborne. Aur cut his lips back to reveal his teeth, he then let out a howl, a long deep bellowing sound, Fico grabbed his axe tightly, he had no choice but to try and fight him. Aur noticed that Fico heartbeat had changed, it was thumper a little faster, part of it was excitement, and the other was fear. He sulked around the Warrior, moving in a menacing circle, not taking his eyes off him. When Fico rose to his feet, that’s when Aur spoke. “Power.” Was all he said, and Fico stared at him puzzled. “I want power.” He snarled at him again. “You have it.” Fico stared at him and said.

Auron shook his head, “No… I want… power.” He said as he gazed at the moon. “I don’t know what made me like this, but it’s not going to stop, my body has been altered.” “And I want power…” was all Auron kept saying. “You have all type of power, werewolves have amazing strength.” Fico knew a little about the creatures that were suppose to be just a myth. “No… I want to be head of the pack.” He said as he snarled again. “Nothing will stand in my way of dominance.” The young wolf said. That’s when Fico caught on, and that’s when he readied his axes. His brain fluttered as he thought about what Auron meant. Werewolves are very dominant creatures, and they eliminate anyone who stands above them but are weaker than them. That’s when Fico realized what was on his agenda. He knew who Auron was going after…. Stellaluna. She was Mythic’s leader, and Auron was a part of her shell, but he wanted the dominance that carried the title of LS Leader. “You’ll be foolish to stand in my way.” Auron knew what was going on in Fico’s mind when he got himself ready for a fight. Being a werewolf takes a lot of control, you have to learn to control the urges when necessary. Auron’s claws ripped Fico’s Hauberk almost in half, shredding it, leaving his bare chest expose for Auron to make one quick deadly blow. He hoped it hasn’t come to this, but he couldn’t control himself, Fico was being more dominant than he, and that angered him. Although the beast has taken over inside of him. He hoped that he could not have to kill Stella, he hoped that she crowned him king peacefully. You stay out of my way, I stay out of yours. Auron lunged himself on top of Fico, who parried his claw by wielding his axes, catching Aur’s arm. He squirmed and tried to break free. Fico kicked Auron off of him, and rolled out of the way as his claw split the dirt. He scrambled to his feet and backed up as Auron stood to face him. He was backed into a corner, he had nowhere else to run. With his back pressed against the wall, Fico glared at him. He knew it was his time to go. He had put up a bit of resistance, but Auron was ten times stronger. Auron charged towards him. Auron picked up another scent, and that’s when he stopped, leaving Fico looking helpless. He sniffed, and on the inside Auron went Berserk. Fico didn’t know what caused the reaction that Aur was having, but he knew it bought him a little time. Auron scanned the area, he heard his footsteps. He didn’t see anyone but he knew someone was coming this way. He sensed another one of his kind drawing near. And that’s when Bio sprinted into view. His hair was gold and reddish brown, he grew a size or two bigger inside of his wolf form. With Bio by his side he returned his focus to Fico, who stared in terror at his longtime friend. He was one of them now, Bio growled at him, almost showing no sign of the closeness they once shared. Auron lunged his claws towards Fico’s throat, looking to kill him instantly. He then felt a pain in his neck, it stung him badly and he had to recoil. Bio snapped away at Auron, biting and biting at his neck as blood spattered out from his wound. “Get out of here.” Bio snarled at Fico, who shook his head and took off running. Bio ripped his claws through Auron’s chest. He then stared at him on the ground, he knew he wasn’t dead. Werewolves have a high metabolism and can heal from the nastiest of wounds quickly. But Bio knew it bought him time, and with that, he ran after Fico….
