The Hunted

With her bag on her shoulder she set the first step out of the hut. She had a lot of her mind as she headed towards the jungle trying to catch up with her tourguide. Her boyfriend of two years had just dumped her, pity she brought the fool with her on this luxury vacation. That was all a big part of her anger she couldnt deny it. But Patrick, her ex wasn't bound to ruin her trip. She had worked hard for this vacation, not actually it was more luck than hard work. But it was hers and she was bound to have a good time. At the time of the argument she just wished he would fall off a cliff. To think of the nerve of that guy. She was getting pretty much used to the buttholes and just thought it was her luck.
When her foot hit the damp grass she despised her decision to wear shorts. She was going to itch all day now, what on earth was she thinking? Her blue eyes looked around but she couldn't see a sign of anyone near her. Don't panic, just walk through, they got to be here somewhere. Is what she reminded herself to keep her cool. Her eyes looked past the trees and the bushes, if she didnt fear being lost she would have been totally blown away by the beautiful scenery. She made herself keep walking, reminding herself that within minutes she would be back with her group and all safe and sound. Even the sound of rocks scraping under her foot made her nervous. Here she was in broad daylight and scared like a dog when had just shat on the carpet.
Twenty minutes later she told herself she had taken a wrong turn somewhere, because she just ended up deeper in the jungle. She was going to take the easy road out and blame Patrick for this, it was his fault, he got her all messed up in the head. Ahole. Her journey came to a halt when she noticed a cave at the end of the road. Her brain farted, but she knew she wasnt going inside, who knows what creature lives in there. Paranoid was one word to describe her as she turned around and headed back the way she came. Something caught her eye in the distance and she stopped, it looked like a person.
